Moving to a new device

Dactylus has no account to sign into, so a new device starts empty. Before you switch, open Settings → Show my recovery code on the old one and keep the code. Entering it on the new device joins it to the same history.

The app says it cannot reach the server

Lessons, verses and drills all work offline once they have been downloaded; only syncing needs a connection. Results you record offline are kept and uploaded the next time the app connects.

You disagree with a scansion

Please tell us, with the line reference shown on the exercise screen. Latin metre has genuine disputes in it, and a few lines in the corpus are emended or contested; we would rather argue about a line than ship it wrong.

Deleting your data

In Settings: Delete everything. It is immediate. See the privacy page for what is stored in the first place.
